Gor Mahia chairman, Ambrose Rachier, has today officially announced the dates for the club’s elections and Annual General Meeting (AGM), during a press briefing in Nairobi

During a press interview followed by a statement from club Secretary General Sam Ocholla, it was confirmed that the elective AGM will take place on April 13, 2025. The meeting will start at 7:00 am, at Nyayo National Stadium.

The club also shared the agenda for the AGM, with the elections listed as the seventh item on the eight-point agenda.

During the briefing, Rachier used the opportunity to confirm his intention to run for re-election as the club’s chairperson. "I will be submitting my papers for re-election. I have all the necessary documents, including my KRA certificate, CRB, HELB clearance, EACC, and DCI clearance. All candidates are required to provide these," Rachier stated.

Having led Gor Mahia for 17 years, Rachier emphasized that he views his tenure as having served only one term as the club’s chairman and that he has all it takes to serve for another term. He also encouraged fans to register as members in order to participate in the elections, with the registration deadline set for Monday, March 31, 2025.

"We urge fans to pay Ksh 1,200 to our account at Bank of Africa or through our paybill, 350100, before the deadline to be eligible," he added.

In addition, Rachier warned against any attempts to attend the AGM without proper membership and with the intent to cause disruption. "Only duly registered members will be allowed entry. We will issue membership cards, and attendees must show their card at the entrance to prevent any incidents of hooliganism," he cautioned.
